About 10 hours into the hospital (after ultrasound) it was discovered that we had TTTS and both twins were in arrest and both had to be delivered immediately. I called 911 to help with transport and we just expected a 3 month bed rest stay at the hospital. We did not think much about it at the time.
Also for some reason her water broke and had a little red color in it. It turns out our doner was pushing against her spine. She has a bad back history and we just figured it was a bad back due to the extra weight. My wife kept complaining about back problems. We almost lost our twins before delivery. Hopefully, your pregnancy will continue to progress, and hopefully, the worst that will happen is the little indigestion that you have already experienced.May you and your babies be well. If I hadn't right there the whole time, I would have found it hard to believe that there was no sign at all. I guess, what I want to say is that I have learned that anything is possible. Please, please, the last thing I want to do is add more stress to any of your ordeals with this story. I hesitated to tell this story when I read your post, as it is so frightening, one minute you are in bed, with two babies, and you take a nap, and wake up lucky to have one left. said they couldn't risk waiting,and delivered the surviving twin. Her section was done within 2 hours of that last ultrasound.
Her OB was called in ASAP, I don't know how he got to the hospital so fast. By the look on the Dr's face, I know that the baby was gone. She wasn't even worried, as she said that baby was usually turned around and that it was often difficult to find that heartbeat right away. came into the room to do the regular vitals stuff and do the afternoon ultrasound (or sonogram) and couldn't find one heartbeat. She had had a sonogram, or ultrasound, (not sure which) that morning, and both babies were fine! The Dr. We had lunch at bedside, and she took an afternoon nap, while I sat in her room reading a book. My daughter was in the hospital on bedrest, and was having a perfectly "normal" day.
I am hoping that you are your twins are still hanging in there and doing well.
